Oily Resources

Please Note: This list of oily resources has been compiled based on my experience and needs. Some of these resources are free and some aren’t. Those with a cost associated are affiliate products or services, meaning if you buy them, I get a commission at no extra cost to you. I only post things that I have used personally or that I would recommend to my closest friends. I hope they serve you well, as they have me.

oily resources

As a brand new member of Young Living Essential Oils, here are some of the resources I have come across that I think would be beneficial for others interested in trying the oils and/or the business opportunity.

Books:

The first is a book I first came across in researching Young Living Essential Oils. After using essential oils for a while now, I knew in the back of my mind that I would probably become a distributor at some point. I wanted to finish writing my book, Save the Butter Tubs, first but my timing isn’t always God’s timing.

I saw the potential with Young Living right away and knew that if I became a distributor I would want to set myself and my team up for success from the start. I needed a game plan! Before I had ever even been to an oils class, I started doing my research. When I came across Sarah Harnisch’s book, GAMEPLAN: The Complete Strategy Guide to go from Starter Kit to Silver, I ordered with rush delivery and read it cover to cover in just a few days. It helped me to wrap my mind around how Young Living is different from any other direct sales company I have heard of or been a part of in the past.

Additional books:

The Four Year Career, Young Living Edition

Update: This is a short read at less than 100 pages. I was right about being excited about this book! “I am most excited to read The Four Year Career because it aligns with my goals and those of my daughter and daughter-in-law that have started building their businesses as well. My youngest is sixteen. She is graduating early from high school while earning dual credit as a freshman in college. She wants to have a solid career in Young Living Essential Oils by the time she graduates college. She also wants to beat Adam Green’s record of becoming the youngest Royal Crown Diamond, the company’s highest level.”

The testamonies in the back were worth the cost of the book to me! I’m so thankful I am off the 40/40/40 plan and planning retirement for my husband in a completely different way now! In this book the author talks about the idea that “the idea of a career has been to work (at least) 40 hours a week for 40 years for 40% of what was never enough for the first 40 yearss.” Sad thought! Most poeple don’t make enough now then retire on less that what they got by on before. That doesn’t sound like a very happy retirement! Read this book, learn how to change that!

Go Pro: 7 Steps to Becoming a Network Marketing Professional

This too is a short book with only 150 pages. Author Eric Worre gives a ton of tips for going pro and is very realistic about the time frames and work you must put in to your business.  He keeps it simple and real!

My suggestion for anyone thinking about this opportunity or if you have just begun your journey as a Young Living Distributor, get Sarah’s book today because you will refer back to it again and again! It’s packed full of scripts and how to’s. The other books I mentioned above will help you understand how the business side of this actually works and how you can become a professional.  Scripture says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” Get a vision, get a game plan and get in the game!
